There exists a duality; a grinding, scraping squabble in each of us
that sits hidden in the reeds as we attempt to sunder our souls from
our skin. Violins screech, drums tumble and bass guitar thrums like a
fleshy machine as apathy gives way to reflection. This insular lament
concedes to hopeful buoyancy as electric guitars pierce the haze; and
beneath the pitter-patter of cymbals and an organ’s warbling the
ethereal siren of vocal harmonies may be distinguished. There exists
a duality; no matter how the head wishes to die, the body invariably
wishes to live.
