Guardian 05:48
Eyes closed shut, deep in soft sleep us entwined we share our flesh, bones to dust blue ocean eyes red flames of pain will be doused given time even when you're not around will you stay and be my guardian? standing stone, you're my guardian i'm the sun of the earth i'm the guardian pull me out of this old hollow dragged into light darling replenish my soul and i'll keep it warm even when you're not around, hold you in my thin arms stay and lie awhile, night's soft not loud, not scared staring eyes at sky so wide our words are spared eyes open wide to stare
2.
Priest 05:30
I'm the priest I'll be a beast for you love, it's nothing. Set me free I'm on my hands and knees, and that's something to be, why won't you set me free? The autunm breeze is whistiling through the trees. my garden shears in the clear. Persephone's stoney fire Her golden fields of wheat Famine plague outta my pen The ink flows down to the lethe As the beast becomes the cold That same old song is sounding louder now In tangier, I saw a vision so clear, My pinky swear flies through the air Pressing suits, stoney liars We burn our fields of wheat The final spark outta my pen The ink flows down to the lethe Her golden fields of wheat Kings dethroned with my pen As the beast becomes the priest

Dust 05:16
Melted through the floor To lay down in the dust The roar of wind on the hills discordant through valleys held in dusk Held in cloud, nothing is loud As I inhale the dust through my window And there I could lie But dreamed of my dying Felt like a lot of things Passing into dream-death Conniptions like a storm Awoke and caked in a cool sweat But my sweater is so warm
5.
Confession 04:09
Sister Anne was walking down the railway track She stumbled on the branch of a tree Now when she talks of love it's a line drawn in the sand then she whispers damnation to me She sleeps on a bed of roses while I pluck the lyre's strings In her habit she softly sings Those hymms half forgotten and St. Augustine Comes to me and haunts my dreams Those confessions, they could wash away All you choose to loose the thoughts you'll leave behind, thoughts you'll leave behind And all you do or say, it gets washed away All the guilt that sin built the thoughts you'll leave behind, thoughts you'll leave behind With her heart on fire she kneels at the altar, drunk on communion wine She prays one more time, says "Lord if you're up there, i'll see you on the other side Lord i'll see you on the other side"
6.
Wormcastle 02:12
Wormcastle, the hole in your head, is pouring rainbows things better left unsaid, you read the expose to me. Won't you come and hold my hand and make believe that I'm another man. I got your message the post always gets through. The lonely queen sits on her throne, in her wormcastle made of stone. In oaths and riddles and songs obscene she says its never as bad as it seems. We tell those pretty lies, you swallowed your pride again, just to get on through the day. On and on untill you find that your wormcastle has left you behind.

Keep an eye on the waters Know what sleeps below Keep a hand on your darkness Shouldn't swing too low to the ground You might bump your head My dead-eyed reflection fixes glare on me Without tact or pretention ask him: Do you like what you see? The head kills body Deary me, throw your body in the sea Shed the flesh that is rotten Cleansing tongues bear light Growing pains all forgotten Breathe to breed new life The head kills body Deary me, throw your body in the sea Listen to what your body tells you Take in the right nutrition daily Always recycle keep your ears clean Keep hydrated

about

This record began life as a collection of home demos of songs that had been swirling and swimming in the backs of our heads for a couple of years. These lofi-pocket symphonies were then lovingly hammered into shape through joyful evening jams deep-down in our Cliftonville basement, with the inimitable Jimi Tormey laying down the grooves and bringing the rhythm from his drum throne.
This is the sound of a world aflame and an ode to that glimmer of hope which dreams reveal to us. A man with a cigar once said that a dream is a fulfilment of a wish. This record is a fulfilment
of many such wishes: a kind of dream journal where our latent desires, emotions and fantasies are made manifest onto tape. From apocalyptic jank-funk, to stone-heavy ballads soaring above
the firmament, from pagan jive country-rock, to the ringing silver strings of Kentish Primitivism.

This record is the dream of Thantos, that island of the dead which is just itching to become another Atlantis. It is the dream of the iron golem – upon whom rust never sleeps- stirring from its slumber, rising from the depths of the unconscious sea and grasping ever higher towards the unknown. This album flows from that other realm which comes to us when we sleep, giving us glimpses of new worlds for us to build and guiding us towards rebuilding ourselves, for after all, your dreams are what you are made of.
